At a film screening at New York’s Museum of Jewish Heritage on October 2nd 2017, famed philosopher and humanitarian Bernard-Henri Lévy said that the aftermath of the recent referendum on Kurdish independence brings to mind the founding of modern Israel in 1948. The event was reportedly mentioned as a target by the Islamic State terror group.
